Sitiveni Rokoro, the chief executive officer of Cricket Fiji, has shared a preview of the thrilling cricket tournaments and events lined up for 2025

This year, Cricket Fiji plans to host four senior men’s and women’s national tournaments.

The National Easter tournament for the senior men will take place from April 12-21, while the dates for the Super 8 tournament remains to be confirmed.

For senior women, the League final between Suva and Nadi will be held on January 25 and the Super 4 women’s tournament will take place from May 14-17.

Additionally, Cricket Fiji will coordinate two national under-19 tournaments for both boys and girls.

The U19 men’s tournament will run from May 6-10, while the U19 women’s event is set for August 26-29.

Zonal competitions for U19 boys and girls will also be held in Suva, Nadi, and Lautoka with winners progressing to the nationals.

Cricket Fiji is also focused on young talent, hosting U14 primary school competitions at the district level, with teams from Nadi, Lautoka, Tailevu South, Suva, Nasinu, Naitasiri and Navua.

Schools from the maritime zone, including Moce Secondary School, will be invited to participate in the national U14 tournaments.

Cricket Fiji’s plans also include hosting international tournaments. The U19 men’s team have qualified for the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier in Japan, which will be held from April 22-30.

They will compete against Japan and Papua New Guinea with the winner earning a spot in the 2026 U19 Cricket World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia.

The senior women’s team has been invited to participate in the first Four Nations tournament in New Caledonia from March 9-15.
