DAY two of the Suva Zone One meet is bound to be interesting and competitive with three schools tied on equal gold medal counts in the boys’ division.
Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, Sacred Heart College and John Wesley College all have three gold medals in the bag after day one yesterday.
RSMS has the edge with more silver and bronze at three each.
Sacred Heart trails in second with two silver and two bronze medals while JWC is third.
Defending girls champion Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School is in the lead with eight gold, six silver and three bronze.
Trailing not too far behind is RSMS with five gold, a silver and two bronze medals.
In third place is Christian Mission Fellowship College with two gold, a silver and a bronze.
Coach and Athletics Fiji official Antonio Raboiliku said it may come down to the final event today to determine who walks away with the champion tag.
Day two will begin at 8.30am today with the girls open grade 3000m race at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
