The Rewa football side ended its 2025 Extra Premier League campaign on a high with a 2-0 win over Nasinu at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park yesterday.
The Delta Tigers had already sealed the national league title heading into the final round and used the opportunity to give game time to most of their development players.
Nasinu, desperate for points, held firm in the first half as the teams went into the break locked at 0-0.
Rewa’s depth and experience showed in the second spell, with goals from John Orobulu and Gabrieli Matanasiga sealing a comfortable win.
Elsewhere, Navua sent a strong message to rivals ahead of the IDC with a commanding 5-2 win over Nadi at the Uprising Sports Complex in Pacific Harbour.
Goals from Peniame Drova, Rahul Krishna, Ali Mekawir, Mannav Permal and Mathew Charitar thrilled the home fans in Navua’s final home match of the season.
In the West, Suva claimed a hard-fought 2-1 win over Lautoka at Churchill Park, ending the Blues’ 11-match unbeaten run.
Suva scored a goal on either side of halftime to lead 2-0 before Lautoka pulled one back, but the Whites held on for victory.
All teams will now have a week’s break before turning their focus to the FMF IDC, which kicks off on October 7 in Ba.
