THE Extra Premier League (EPL) will take a three-week break starting this week, as confirmed by the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA).

However, football action continues with the Extra Senior League carrying on during this period.

Labasa heads into the break in commanding form, leading the table with 10 points from four matches. Their dominant attacking display has seen them net 14 goals, boasting a strong goal difference of +10.

Nadi follows closely in second place with seven points with Nasinu but trailing on goal difference. Navua sits in fourth place.

Suva and Nadroga find themselves mid-table with five and four points, respectively, while Lautoka, Ba, Rewa, and Tavua struggle to gain momentum. Tavua faces a tough challenge at the bottom of the table, with just one point from four matches and a goal difference of -10.

When the league resumes after the break, crucial fixtures will see Tavua taking on Nadroga, Nasinu clashing with Suva, Labasa facing Ba and Lautoka going up against Navua.

These matches could prove decisive in shaping the standings as teams push for dominance in the second phase of the season.
