EASTER gives us the assurance of hope with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ at a time when we face challenging times globally with the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
The ambassador of Israel to the Pacifi c Island States, Tibor Shalev Schlosser, shared this in his Easter message yesterday.
“On behalf of the nation of Israel, I wish our dear friends of Fiji and other nations of the Pacific Islands during this Good Friday (that’s today in Israel), Holy Friday and a blessed Easter,” said Mr Schlosser.
“Globally we face challenging times with the deadly pandemic (COVID-19) and natural disasters among other things in the Pacific, but Easter gives us the assurance of hope with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“While circumstances around us could not bring us together physically to celebrate the resurrection, whether in Jerusalem, in the Pacific or any part of the world, it gave us an opportunity to pray together for resilience, prosperity and for peace — Shalom.”
Mr Schlosser also urged his fellow Pacific Islanders to remain in good health and courage and that they would find strength again and get through these times together by grace.\
