LEADERSHIP Fiji and Credit Corporation (Fiji) Pte Ltd recently renewed their partnership which they said reinforced a shared commitment and the support of the private in building strong leaders who are equipped to navigate complexity, inspire change and contribute meaningfully to Fiji’s social and economic progress.

This comes as Leadership Fiji celebrates 25 years of impact this year.

In a statement, Leadership Fiji said the partnership played a meaningful role over the years in supporting Leadership Fiji in the delivery of its programs and in fostering values-driven leadership that positively impacts communities and organisations nationwide.

“We are grateful for Credit Corporation’s ongoing partnership since 2017, where we have seen seven of their staff as alumni of our Leadership Fiji Program who are now in positions of influence and serving our communities. This is a reflection of the impact that Leadership Fiji has had on our participants,” Leadership Fiji chief executive officer Sharyne Fong said.

“For us, leadership is action, and seeing the impact of our program on our people over the past 25 years brings to the fore the purpose of our founders in establishing Leadership Fiji.”

Credit Corporation country manager Mohammed Nawaz, an alumni of the 2018 Leadership Fiji Program, said their partnership with Leadership Fiji since 2017 reflected their strong belief that investing in people and leadership development as an essential component of building resilient organisations and communities.

“Several of our senior team members have benefited from the program and continue to contribute meaningfully within the organisation and the wider community,” Mr Nawaz said.

“As a 2018 alumni myself, I have personally experienced the value of the program in broadening perspectives, strengthening networks and reinforcing the responsibility we have as leaders to create positive impact.

“We are proud to continue supporting Leadership Fiji in developing principled leaders for Fiji’s future.”
