THE FMF Group of Companies, under the leadership of managing director and chief executive officer Sanjay Punja, has announced the successful completion of a week-long electric vehicle (EV) training program conducted in collaboration with China Intelligent Electric Vehicle (CIEV) and an international automotive consultant.
The consultant, known by the name Mr Leon, is a veteran with over 20 years of experience in China’s automobile industry, FMF said in a statement this week.
It said the training program focused on EV technologies, market strategies, after-sales service, with each model specifications features drawing upon China’s world-leading experience in electric vehicle development.
“China’s success in scaling EV adoption offers valuable lessons for emerging markets like Fiji,” Mr Leon said.
“FMF’s proactive approach and commitment to excellence demonstrate the Pacific’s readiness to embrace this global transition.”
The sessions provided valuable technical insights, strategic frameworks and global perspectives essential to positioning the FMF EV initiative at the forefront of the Pacific’s clean transformation.
The collaboration also aligns with Fiji’s national goals for sustainable growth and reduced carbon emissions under its climate resilience strategy.
The successful completion of the EV week training has reaffirmed FMF Group’s leadership role in driving industrial progress, environmental responsibility and regional collaboration for a cleaner and more connected Pacific future, with cost savings in the long run.
