Residents of Pearce Home in Suva were treated to a special breakfast this morning as part of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The Coffee Hub management had decided to treat the residents with a free breakfast and the Home’s board chairman Hassan Khan described the kind gesture as an act of humanity.
“Ageing is indeed a demographic revolution that will have deep and important consequences for all of us in Fiji and it does not need to present a crisis or burden but opportunities for service,” he said.
“We thank the owner or Cofee Hub, Mr Zoro and his team for thinking of our residents in this special day.”
