There will be 12 papers discussed during the two-day Ba Provincial Council in Namoli Village in Lautoka.

This was highlighted by council chairman Meli Tora today.

Mr Tora said the discussions would involve the main issues and challenges in the province of Ba.

“It is about education, about the distribution of funds, about inclusiveness, especially with the youths and women,” he said.

“Most importantly, it is the prudent management of our resources, especially in Ba province, which is the economic powerbase of this country.

“And if you have to prioritise education, we will have the right people to prudently manage those resources.

“Which means that the province of Ba must pay a lot more attention to what the Minister of Itaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu, has said regarding the prioritisation of education.”
