The Electoral Commission (EC) has officially welcomed its newest member, Commissioner Susana Naisara, completing the seven-member body responsible for overseeing Fiji’s electoral processes.
EC Chair Justice Usaia Ratuvili announced the appointment today, describing it as an important step forward for the institution.
“Today, I am proud to announce a significant milestone. The EC is now complete with the appointment of our newest member, Commissioner Susana Naisara. She brings with her a wealth of experience, a strong professional background, and a fresh perspective that will undoubtedly enrich the Commission’s work,” Justice Ratuvili said.
He added that her appointment enhances the Commission’s ability to serve the Fijian public with professionalism and independence.
“Her appointment strengthens our capacity to serve the Fijian people with integrity, transparency, and renewed confidence,” he said.
Ms Naisara is a Pasifika feminist and a with governance and gender expert.
