INFORMATION Technology (IT) and e-business solutions service provider Datec Fiji celebrated its 40th Anniversary to commemorate four decades of pioneering digital transformation across the Pacific at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on Thursday night.
Datec Fiji chairman Isikeli Tikoduadua emphasised on the company’s journey especially their enduring commitment to shaping Fiji’s ICT landscape.
“Datec Fiji has been more than a technology provider; we have been a partner in progress, actively shaping the digital transformation of businesses and communities across the Pacific.
“As a proudly 100 per cent locally owned company under the ATH (Amalgamated Telecom Holdings) and FNPF (Fiji National Provident Fund) banner through Vodafone Fiji, we are honoured to be an ISO-certified ICT company in the country and a recipient of the prestigious President’s Award for Business Excellence,” Mr Tikoduadua said.
He said the future of business lies in embracing digital business models, strengthening cybersecurity and investing in intelligent architectures that support artificial intelligence (AI) and automation.
“Your challenges have fuelled our innovation, and your successes have been our greatest reward,” he added.
“As we look ahead, Datec remains committed to delivering trusted, forward-thinking solutions that provide our partners with a competitive edge.”
Datec Fiji chief executive officer Vinit Nand spoke on the company’s legacy and the partnerships that drove Datec’s growth in Fiji.
“Forty years is a testament to the vision of our founders, the dedication of every Datec team member – past and present – and above all, the trust and loyalty of our customers,” Mr Nand said.
“Looking around the room tonight, I see the faces of businesses that have built Fiji, and we are deeply grateful for the confidence you have placed in us to power your operations and contribute to your success.”
He further provided a glimpse into Datec’s future initiative, the upcoming Fiji Tech Summit 2025, which is set to be the company’s largest event yet.
“This will be a phenomenal opportunity to connect, learn, and explore the future of technology together,” he said.
The evening concluded with renewed commitment from DATEC to continue investing in people, solutions and partnerships that drive sustainable digital transformation across Fiji and the Pacific.
