Oliver Simon Dyer has added another title to his name after winning the Mr Friendly North competition.

This marks the 20-year-old’s second major title, following his win as Mr Duavata Crime Prevention in 2022.

Mr Dyer, who represented Shah’s Amusement during the weeklong carnival, said he never truly believed he could win this title.

“I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me, especially to my mother and younger brother who supported me throughout the week,” he said.

Speaking before the crowd at Subrail Park in Labasa, he said the competition pushed him to his limits as it was tough.

“I couldn’t have also done it without the unwavering support from my family and friends.

“Their encouragement and belief in me made all the difference.”

He dedicated the win to his namesake who passed away on Thursday.

“This victory is for my namesake, who passed away just yesterday. He was my rock through all of life’s challenges and triumphs.”

Meanwhile, Ratu Alivereti Rokoyaluma from Drive Smart Pte Ltd scooped first runner-up.
