OSEA Kolinisau, the head coach of the Fiji Airways men’s sevens team, has brought into camp two players from the Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s following the tournament’s conclusion two weeks ago.

He says George Bose of the BLK Lavidi Brothers and Alusio Vakadranu of Wardens Gold were the players picked from the tournament and absorbed into the national squad’s camp, which is currently in its second week of training.

While Bose comes into camp for the first time, this is not Vakadranu’s first stint with the team, as he represented the country in last season’s HSBC Sevens World Series.

Kolinisau was also present at the tournament which took place on the Namalata District School grounds from the 17-19th of this month.

He also expressed his thanks to the tournament’s sponsors Fiji Bitter, for their continuous support of the tournament and most importantly their commitment towards the development of grassroots rugby in the country.

“It was nice to go to Kadavu and watch the opening of the Fiji Bitter 7s series and I’m thankful to Fiji Bitter for being a supporter of our grassroots (rugby),” Kolinisau said.

Meanwhile, he noted the inclement weather that overshadowed the progress of events during the tournament as well.
