FIJIAN Drua co-captain Iosefo Masi has been charged by police for assault.
The incident is believed to have taken place before Friday last week, as Masi was missing from the captain’s run on Friday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed Masi’s arrest.
She said he was charged with assault and produced in a special sitting of the Nadi Magistrate’s Court on Saturday.
On Friday, Fijian Drua coach Glen Jackson had said Masi was out of the team for personal reasons.
