The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s ‘fortress’, Churchill Park in Lautoka, will host the club’s first game of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific (SRP) season against Moana Pasifika.

The fixture is also the team’s first home game of the season, differing from the 2025 season opener against the ACT Brumbies that took place at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva in February.

For both teams, it will serve as an opportunity to get the match out of the way with either the Drua avenging their 15-34 loss to Moana last year or for the latter to continue maintaining the status quo.

Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson welcomed the opening fixture and shared how the two teams shared a history of fierce contests over the years.

“We can’t wait to open our 2026 season against our Pacific brothers at our fortress in Lautoka,” Jackson said.

“It’s always a fierce contest when we meet, a true reflection of the passion both teams bring.”

He added the start of their 2026 SRP campaign at home was a perfect boost for them.

Moana Pasifika head coach and former All Blacks captain Tana Umaga relayed how both teams shared a common bond of being the only Pasifika teams in the competition and how matches between them were always exciting.

“It’s one of the toughest places to play but we’re looking forward to the challenge the Drua will bring and seeing Pasifika flair and power from both teams on full display,” he added.

The match between the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Meanwhile, the full season schedule for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific 2026 competition will be released tomorrow.
