The Fijian Drua club and Rooster Chicken have recently announced the renewal of their partnership, marking a significant milestone in their shared journey of growth and success.
It has been four years since Rooster Chicken became the Club’s first-ever sponsor in 2021, and since then, both organisations have seen tremendous growth and achievements.
Rooster Chicken has solidified its position as one of Fiji’s most successful and trusted brands, serving families across the nation with pride.
The company has undergone significant expansion, including a $13 million plant upgrade in Ba that tripled production capacity and created hundreds of local jobs.
The partnership between Rooster Chicken and the Fijian Drua has become a symbol of shared growth, belief, and unity, embodying the spirit of the vanua.
The Fijian Drua, on the other hand, has risen to become the nation’s most popular sports club, making it to the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific quarterfinals twice.
The renewal of the partnership reflects the deep bond between the two organisations and celebrates their joint success since the Drua’s Super Rugby Pacific debut.
Shane Hussein, the Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial, expressed the significance of the renewal, emphasising the journey that both organisations have undertaken together.
“When Rooster Chicken agreed to be our first sponsor back in 2021, the Fijian Drua existed only as a business case on an Excel sheet,” said Hussein.
“This was also the time of COVID and uncertainty was prevalent. Rooster Chicken took a leap of faith — before we had even played a single Super Rugby Pacific match. Four years later, they’ve become part of our identity and our journey.
“Their decision to renew reflects not just loyalty, but shared belief in what the Drua represents for all Fijians. We’re honoured to have Rooster Chicken remain a big part of our vuvale as we continue to grow together.”
