Round 5 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific double-header at Churchill Park tomorrow is still scheduled to proceed.
This was confirmed by Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s head of Commercial and Marketing, Shane Hussein yesterday.
The clarification follows a barrage of questions from concerned fans on whether the game would proceed amid the heavy rain and flood conditions affecting the country.
Hussein assured: “The match will still go on. We have conducted inspections at the match venues today (yesterday), and conditions in Lautoka were favourable.
“The sun was out, preparations of the venue, including grass cutting, were underway.”
“There are few buses coming down to Lautoka through this bus package, despite this weather condition fans are coming out in numbers to support the Drua men and women which is really good,” he added.
Ticket sales are ongoing, and fans can secure their tickets for either the pavilion or embankment seats.
The Fijian Drua men v Waratahs match will kick off at 1.05pm followed by the Fijian Drua Women and Waratahs match at 3.35pm.
