SWIRE Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson and Chief Executive Officer Mark Evans are backing the Fiji Water Flying Fijians to deliver another strong performance when they take on England tomorrow at 5.40am.

Jackson, who was part of the national team setup when Fiji famously defeated England in 2023, said he believes the side has what it takes to repeat that success.

“I was with the national team when we beat them, and we could have nearly had them at the quarterfinal too,” Jackson said with a smile.

CEO Mark Evans shared his excitement ahead of the clash, saying his family will be in the stands cheering for Fiji.

“My children are going with their partners. I bought the tickets. I’m excited,” Evans said.

“England are a really good team. I thought they went well against Australia, very solid defensively and strong across the park,” Evans said.

Evans added that the Flying Fijians also boast great depth, especially with the inclusion of Peter Gus in the back row.

“Good team. Lot of power in the back five, good pair in the halves and back row, but you know Peter Gus in the squad gives a bit more depth in the back row,” he added.

The Drua boss said he’ll be up early to catch the match live.

The Flying Fijians face England in what is expected to be a thrilling rematch, with both sides looking to make a statement ahead of their next international campaigns.

The Flying Fijians take on England at 5.40am tomorrow at Twickenham.

Fiji will play France in their second Test next week before they take on Spain.
