THE Swire Shipping Fijian Drua delivered a dominant performance at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday, sending a strong early warning ahead of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby competition.
Unfazed by wet conditions, the Drua overwhelmed the Skipper Select XV 78–12 to claim the inaugural Sun Bell Battle of Fiji Trophy.
The tries were scored by No 6 Joseva Tamani in the eighth minute, winger Epeli Momo dotted his 10 minutes later, a penalty try was awarded to the Drua in the 28th minute. Inside centre Virimi Vakatawa added to the tally in the 36th minute, with co-captain Temo Mayanavanua scoring three minutes later to give the Drua a commanding 35–12 lead at halftime.
Flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong Ravula kicked four successful conversations in the first half.

The Drua kept on building the momentum in the second half with a try to flanker Motikiai Murray, extending the lead to 42-12, and successfully converted by impact flyhalf Simioni Kuruvoli.
