THE Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are determined to improve their standing in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific points table- now aiming for a 7th place finish, as they have two games remaining.

Coach Jackson expressed the team’s commitment to achieving the highest possible ranking, emphasising that while a top eight finish is no longer attainable, reaching 7th would still be a commendable outcome.

He highlighted the importance of focusing on their upcoming match, not only for the team’s confidence but also for the pride of the Fijian supporters.

“We are trying to finish as high as we can, even though now we can’t finish in top eight, reaching top seven will be a good outcome,

“But we are just concentrating on this game, and it goes a long way in winning this not only of our confidence but for the people of Fiji,” said Jackson.

Jackson noted the distinct strengths of the Western Force, particularly their formidable line-out, and stressed the necessity of analysing and countering their strategies effectively.

He remarked the Western Force team is really different from the Blues, their line-out is their weapon.

“We have identified key areas to work on, especially during breakdowns, which will be crucial in the match.”

He acknowledged the challenges the team has faced this season, stating. it’s not the outcome we want, but I want our boys to do well.

“They need to believe in themselves, with players set to play their final game in Lautoka, Jackson emphasised the significance of finishing the season strongly.”

Currently, the Drua sit at the bottom of the Super Rugby Pacific points table with 15 points from three wins.

This is their worse standing so far compared to the past three years in Super Rugby, however Jacko is adamant to change things around.

They will face the Western Force at 3:35 PM on Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka, marking their last home game of the 2025 season.
