More than 7,000 plants believed to be marijuana have been seized in the Northern Division following a police raid under Operation Sasamaki.
Police said the raid was carried out in the Qaranibali farming area in Vusasivo, Natewa, on the morning of Wednesday, March 25.
The illicit farm was discovered with the assistance of drone surveillance, with officers locating plants reportedly growing up to more than four metres in height.
Authorities confirmed the seized plants would be subjected to further analysis.
The Fiji Police Force said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat the cultivation and distribution of illicit drugs across the country.
Meanwhile, police have also confirmed that a team from the Criminal Investigations Department and the Internal Affairs Unit will be deployed to Kadavu to investigate allegations of damaging property.
The investigation follows claims of abuse of authority involving police officers.
The Fiji Police Force said it remained committed to ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation into the allegations.
