Tournament heavyweights Millenium Rentals Drasa were set to face Munif Builder Nadi in the grand final when this edition went to press, capping off a week of high-quality matches and determined performances from all participating teams.
Nadi booked their place in the final after a commanding 2-0 victory over Quick Rentals and Tours Lautoka in the second semi-final. The Jetsetters displayed their class and experience, controlling the tempo of the game and executing their chances well to seal a comfortable win. The side, which claimed back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024, once again proved why they are among the competition’s most dominant teams, delivering a composed and clinical performance under pressure.
In the first semi-final, Drasa produced a clinical display to defeat Rewa 2-0 in what was a highly competitive encounter from the opening whistle. Drasa showed urgency, structure, and discipline, capitalising on key moments to secure their place in the final. The victory marked a historic milestone for the team, as they reached the IDC final for the first time in 35 years.
Drasa captain Ubada Bin Khalid acknowledged the significance of the achievement, praising the collective effort behind the team’s success.
“I know the excitement, reaching the final after 35 years. With teamwork, support from officials and our fans, we made it to the finals,” he said.
In the U14 grade, Southern edged Lautoka 1-0 in a hard-fought contest. Both teams displayed determination and resilience, but Southern managed to find the breakthrough in a tightly contested match. Lautoka pushed until the final whistle, but Southern’s solid performance ensured they walked away with maximum points.
