The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) held an impressive foot drill parade yesterday at the Naboro Correction Drill Square outside Lami yesterday.

The display by officers who came from different correctional institutions in the country showed discipline, teamwork and camaraderie that defines the service.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner of Corrections Auta Moceisuva pointed out that such drills were crucial in maintaining order, confidence, and readiness among officers.

Awards were also handed out yesterday and they included:

  •  Best Divisional Platoon Southern Division.
  •  Best in Drill – COC Ilaitia Vueti (Central Eastern Division).
  •  Best Platoon Sergeant COC Kelera Maramanivalu (Central Eastern Division).
  •  Best Platoon Commander PCO Nemani Vasuvulagi (Southern Division).
