FORMER Chow Games 100 metre gold medallist Sesoni Erasito is one of the gold medal prospects for Dilkusha Methodist High School and will be one of the runners to watch out for in the sub-junior grade.

The 14-year-old Rotuman lad is the younger brother of Adi Cakobau School gold medallist Belinda Erasito. “This is my first year in high school and I want to work hard so I may also be like my big sister,” he said.

“This will be my first time to run in the Coca-Cola Games and I am looking forward to win a gold medal for Dilkusha Methodist High School.”

Erasito won gold medal for Dakua House in the 100m sub junior final clocking an unofficial time of 13.66 seconds and in the 200m final clocked an unofficial time of 28.50 seconds.

School principal Satyendra Singh said Erasito was one of the gold medal prospects for the school and he was certain the school would be scooping a few gold medals during the Fiji Finals.

“We have a number of good athletes joining high school this year and most of them were gold medallists in the Chow Games, so they will do well in representing the school in the zone and Cokes,” said Singh.

Erasito will be out to win a gold medal in the Triple N Zone next month.
