Digicel Fiji has signed into a merchant agreement with the Fijian Holdings Unit Trust (FHUT) and will be offering unitholders the option to buy units using Digicel Fiji’s MyCash mobile app.

Additionally FHUT investors will be able to receive their dividend payments directly to their MyCash accounts should they choose to.

This agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of MyCash’s presence in the country.

Digicel Fiji and FHUT have negotiated this partnership to ensure both companies provide modernised and convenient services to meet the changing preferences of customers in an increasingly digitised world.

FHUT general manager Elenoa Kaloumaira said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Digicel Fiji’s MyCash to offer our customers easy access to a secure and convenient payment platform.

FHUT values the role of technology and is very enthusiastic about this additional service offered by Digicel Fiji, which will provide our unitholders with another option to top up their accounts, plus our investors to receive dividend payments directly to their mobile phones.”

Digicel Fiji head of business solutions Morika Hunter said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with FHUT to expand the MyCash presence and continue to improve our customer experience as a digital operator which is our main objective.

“This partnership with FHUT allows us to drive financial inclusion and access for Fijians across the country, and also sets up MyCash to be the safe and contactless digital payment platform of choice,” she said.

Unitholders will soon be able to purchase units via their MyCash app under Fijian Holdings Unit Trust in the Bill Pay option.
