BULA FC’s preparations received a major boost yesterday with the arrival of France-based player Didier Desprez, as about 300 fans turned up at Govind Park to watch the team’s open training session at 4R Stadium.
Families, friends and children made up the crowd, creating a lively atmosphere despite the early weekday session, before players took time to meet and interact with supporters after training.
Bula FC chief commercial officer Naziah Ali-Krishna said the turnout was encouraging and reflected the growing connection between the club and the community.
“We had a good turnout of about 300 people at the ground.
“Considering it was a weekday and early morning, it was good to see the kids and their families having an interaction with the players.”
Ali-Krishna confirmed the 26-year-old Desprez is the club’s final signing, allowing Bula FC to meet the player registration deadline with 23 registered players and seven U21 injury reserve players.
