The Fijian Elections Office has released details of the new proposed political party, People First.

Details made public states the party is being launched by a group of 10 current parliamentarians and supporters.

Members of the now disbanded, Fiji First party are behind the formation of the new party.

Key excerpts from the proposed People First Constitution released states People First shall actively promote membership across all regions and communities, ensuring that no citizen is excluded based on race, religion, gender, or socio-economic status.

The three core objectives of the proposed party are to build a unified, just, and democratic nation rooted in tolerance and patriotism, uphold the rule of law and national integrity and prioritise citizen welfare and rights above everything else.
