The Vodafone Arena came alive with colourful and numerous vibrant designs from Fijian and international designers who graced the show at this year’s Fiji Fashion Week.
The two-day spectacle, dubbed the South Pacific’s biggest fashion event, kicked off in Suva on Friday with the Resort Cruise show.
Fijian household brand names in Jackie Whippy, Hosanna Kabakoro, Michel Mausio, AZA by Zulfikar Ali, Bulou Caeway, Su Samuels, Harsha Harsmeetal, Cecilia Fong stole the show with their immense designer collections.
Fijian fashion powerhouse and Australian-based Hupfield “Huppy” Hoerder and emerging designer Emma Trembath of The Vibe Tribe Fiji graced the crowd with the vibrant Vibe Tribe Collection while Nicholas Huxley, a prominent figure within the Australian fashion industry, wooed fashion lovers with the creativity shown on his “Everything Old New Again” collection.
Renowned Maori fashion designer Kiri Nathan, who has dressed celebrities like Kevin Hart, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, singers Beyonce, Usher and Ed Sheeran and even former US President Barack Obama, also stole the show in her first appearance at the local fashion affair.
The show came to an end yesterday.
