“He has been sharing his experience and giving his service to the development of rugby in the grassroots level and we are blessed to have him,” he said.
“For us we have the support even though we don’t have any sponsors but we are grateful to the province of Ba for their support towards the team.
“Our families and friends, the team have been bonding and it has been a great starter for us since we’re a newly formed team.”
Wasasala said the team had been working very hard and had shown good results in their last outing.
“We had competed in three tournaments, we reached the final during the Nawaka 7s but unfortunately we lost out.
“Our second tournament was the Wadigi 7s we reached the final and by grace we won and also the Namasi 7s where we actually won the finals.
“The players are exposed to the kind of atmosphere that we will be playing in.
“This is our first Marist 7s and as we always will be expecting a tough match from the other teams.
“Training has always been intense and we are looking forward to our first match against Ratu Filise under-21.”
