THE Fiji Rugby Union is now in the final process of evaluation for the chief executive position.
Interviews for the shortlisted five candidates were done last Friday and FRU Board chairman John Sanday said an announcement will be made soon.
“Maxumise (local HR company) is attending to the final scoring tallying and reference checks.
“We have a 100-day initial performance management plan that the successful candidate will need to sign on to,” Sanday said.
A total of 12 applicants were received by Maxumise since the FRU released the advertisement for the big role in November.
Of the 12, five were shortlisted with which three were local and two were from overseas.
Acting CEO Koli Sewabu was one of the applicants.
Once the FRU announce its CEO, it will proceed to make official their new chief financial officer and acting chief operating officer.
This is part of the FRU’s major overhaul in aligning its structure to that required of tier one standards and modern-day rugby.
