Marist Brothers High School has chosen to remain silent on their plans and ambitions heading into the quarterfinals of the Vodafone Deans Trophy that will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday.
The defending champions managed to beat Suva Grammar School, one of their greatest rivals, in the finals of the Vodafone Deans Trophy Southern Zone competition two weeks ago.
Both these two schools battled it out in the under-18 national finals last year, but it was MBHS who came out victorious, lifting the Deans trophy after more than four decades.
And in this weekend’s quarterfinal, they will be facing Eastern Zone giants, Ratu Kadavulevu School.
Since the Deans Trophy competition started back in 1939, RKS have won the under-18 title more than 20 times while MBHS has seven wins.
In the other under-18 quarterfinals, Cuvu College and Suva Grammar School will battle it out before Natabua High School faces Lelean Memorial School.
Queen Victoria School will then run out against Nasinu Secondary School.
