THE Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection is one step closer to enhancing services for Fiji’s vulnerable populations.

This follows a new partnership with Peace Corps Fiji through an agreement, aimed to address key social challenges and improve service delivery for those most in need.

At the signing ceremony, permanent secretary for Ministry for Women, Children, and Social Protection Eseta Nadakuitavuki emphasised the importance of collaboration in achieving the Ministry’s mission.

She said partnerships like the one with Peace Corps Fiji were essential to overcoming the challenges faced by the nation.

“By working together, the Peace Corps and the ministry can combine expertise, resources, and community-based approaches to ensure that no one in our society is left behind,” Ms Nadakuitavuki said.

“Partnerships such as this one are critical to addressing the challenges we face as a nation.

“The ministry cannot achieve our goals alone.”

Ms Nadakuitavuki said the partnership would focus on initiatives that aimed to uplift individuals while also strengthening families and communities.

She said it reaffirmed a shared commitment to building an inclusive and resilient society for all Fijians. The two organisations plan to prioritise community-based solutions, tackling issues faced by vulnerable populations and improving overall social outcomes.

“The collaboration will leverage Peace Corps Fiji’s grassroots expertise and the Ministry’s leadership in advancing social protection programs.

“Together, we will prioritise initiatives that not only uplift individuals but also strengthen families and communities across Fiji.”
