THE Ministry of Health and Medical Services will not be making any more public statements on the death of Australian nurse Kelly Clarke who died at the Lautoka Hospital last Friday after an unsuspected illness.
The ministry’s permanent secretary, Philip Davies, said the ministry would not be commenting any further on Mrs Clarke’s case until all the relevant facts were known.
“The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is saddened by the news of Ms Clarke’s death,” he said in an email to this newspaper.
“We wish to express our sincere sympathy to her husband, family and loved ones.
“We will not be commenting further on Mrs Clarke’s case until all the relevant facts are known.
“We also believe it is important to respect her family’s privacy at what must be a difficult and distressing time.”
