Date set for FCS boss

ACTING Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner Sevuloni Naucukidi, who is accused of threatening an employee, will have his plea recorded later this month.

Mr Naucukidi, who faces a count of criminal intimidation, is alleged to have threatened a member of his support staff in July this year.

Prosecutor Sadaf Shameem also informed Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne that the victim was no longer employed with FCS.

Mr Naucukidi was released on a $1000 non-cash bail bond under strict standard bail conditions.

His wife, who is acting as a surety, has also been bonded for the same amount.

Mr Naucukidi is represented by senior lawyer Joji Cakau from Vosarogo Lawyers.

The case will be recalled in the Suva Magistrates Court on October 17.
