Divisional North planning officer Setareki Dakuiboca has urged civil servants in the North to understand the new programs and incentives given by the Government for the new financial year.
Mr Dakuiboca said civil servants should disseminate information about the new programs and incentives in the 2024 to 2025 financial year.
“I hope you have sighted your ministry’s budget for the next financial year,” he said.
Speaking at the opening of Civil Service Week, he said civil servants must work together to develop the North to another level.
“I plead with you to serve your utmost best, and when you leave the division you leave a legacy behind,” he said.
Mr Dakuiboca said civil servants were the backbone of society; they work diligently to ensure essential services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
He said their impact was felt by every citizen every day.
