COVID-19: Toilet paper the common bought item in Labasa

TOILET paper was one of the most common bought item in supermarkets around Labasa this evening.

Upon inquiry with members of the public, many say that they have learnt from social media that the symptoms of COVID19 include severe diarrhea.

Manjula Devi of Siberia said she was buying toilet papers to stock up on it might the need arise as the disease spread.

Ms Devi said she was scared with the latest developments in Fiji.

Another shopper Talei Kuruvakatini said she was stocking up on tinned food supplies and other basic food items like sugar, flour and rice.

Ms Kuruvakatini said she was scared and taking precautions in the case of any lockdown for the North in the next few days.
