The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine will be rolled out today and pregnant women living in the Suva-Nausori corridor are advised to go to their nearest vaccination centre to get vaccinated.
An advisory issued by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MoHMS) stated that pregnant women and individuals above the age of 60 were the priority groups for this vaccine roll-out.
The ministry states pregnant women must provide an antenatal care clinic card or a letter from their private practitioner and valid photo identification to get vaccinated.
“Pregnant women living outside the Suva-Nausori corridor must go to the nearest sub-divisional hospital’s antenatal care clinic to get vaccinated,” the ministry stated.

“All individuals above 60 years of age who are residing in the Suva-Nausori corridor can go to their nearest vaccination centres including drive-through to get vaccinated.
“Those individuals above 60 years of age, who are unable to go to the vaccination site due to their health condition or an existing circumstance can call the following numbers between 8 am – 8 pm daily to register to be vaccinated at home:

“Individuals can also send a text message at any time to the above-mentioned numbers with details including – name, age/date of birth and residential address.”
