Police made 30 arrests in the last 24 hours for breach of curfew, out of which 16 people were found drunk at the time of arrest.
According to Police, out of the arrests, the Western Division recorded 18 reports of which six men were found drunk in public places.
“Four of those arrested are foreign nationals as they were found drinking in Naisoso,” said Police Commissioner Brigadier general Sitiveni Qiliho.
Brig-Gen Qiliho added six men were arrested in the Eastern Division as they were part of a drinking party at the Lokuya Settlement in Tailevu.
“The Northern Division recorded three cases where the suspects were found drinking at the Vuya District School compound last night as they were found drunk. In the Southern Division a 35-year-old man was arrested walking along Kubukawa Road intoxicated.”
