Nasinu football president O’Neil Chand says they will be wary of neighbours Suva in their first clash of the 2020 Courts Inter District Championship next week.
“Suva will be coming out strong after their defeat at the Battle of the Giants which was a good tournament for both teams,” Chand said.
“Although we always train together and help each other during the Vodafone Premier League, now it’s a tournament so it will very different.”
Chand said preparation had been going well and they had stepped up a notch in training this week.
“The final week we have boosted our training to the maximum level and are preparing for the best in the first game.
“It’s going to be a very fast paced game and both our teams will be out to score a lot of goals.”
Chand said they welcomed the inclusion of former player Asish Chand into their ranks to aid the Nasinu campaign.
“He has returned to Nasinu and has been in the squad for some time and has proved himself to be part of the 22-man squad for the tournament,” he said.
Nasinu takes on Suva at 12.30pm next week Tuesday at the ANZ Stadium.
