IT was a total masterclass solo effort from Edwin Shayam that saw his team edge favorites Lautoka 1-nil at the Courts Inter District Championship in Suva today.
In an entertaining match that saw a lot of chances missed, Shayam blasted the winner past Lautoka stopper Ben Aminio Matainaqara early in the second spell.
The win sees Labasa lead Group A with six points while Ba and Lautoka have three points each.
Nasinu is without a point and is realistically out of the tournament.
Tomorrow’s matches will see Ba play Labasa while Lautoka takes on Nasinu.
