All courts across Fiji will be closed today, April 8, because of adverse weather experienced nationwide. In a statement issued yesterday, Chief Registrar Tomasi Bainivalu said only matters scheduled before the Supreme Court would proceed as planned.
He said the precautionary measure was taken to safeguard the health, safety and well-being of court users, judicial officers, and staff, in light of the latest reports on Tropical Cyclone Vaianu.
“Court operations will resume once weather conditions have improved, and it is deemed safe to do so,” he said.
