THE psychiatric report for 25-year-old Charles Laxton Sundar, accused of killing and dismembering his 86-year-old maternal grandfather in Lutu, Wainibuka in July last year, is still not complete.

Mr Sundar appeared yesterday before Justice Usaia Ratuvili at the High Court in Suva.

He faces a murder charge, with prosecution alleging he slit the throat of Emori Rokovuki and dismembered the body using knives on July 12, 2025.

The court has been waiting for the report since November 2025 to determine if Mr Sundar is fit to enter a plea.

State prosecutor Pream Ram said a follow-up would be made to update on the next court proceedings.

Mr Sundar was remanded in custody, with the case adjourned to February 24.
