Construction works at the Viria water treatment plant in Naitasiri have been completed.
Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) CEO Dr Amit Chanan inspected the plant on Wednesday.
In a statement, WAF said major constructions works were completed in line with the target date of Fiji Day 2023.
WAF team and contractors were now undertaking phased testing of plant components, pumps and reservoirs to ensure full compliance with the design, the statement read.
About 360,000 Fijians in the Suva-Nausori corridor will benefit from the project.
