WOMEN and supporters gathered at Ratu Sukuna Park yesterday for the International Women’s Day “If Women Stop, the World Stops” concert organised by the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement.
The free public event brought together members of the community to celebrate women’s achievements and advocate for women’s human rights.
Local artists entertained the crowd with musical performances throughout the event.
Performers included Laisa Vulakoro, Georgina Ledua and Milika Roro.
In addition to music, speakers also addressed the gathering, highlighting issues surrounding women’s rights and the importance of gender equality.
The concert formed part of activities marking International Women’s Day, observed annually on March 8, which recognises the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while advocating for gender equality.
