POOR service and unethical conduct complaints have been received against police officers, its line minister confirmed.

However, Ioane Naivalurua said this was against a backdrop of significant decrease in overall complaints against police officers.

“The focus now is on maintaining high standards of service,” he said.

Mr Naivalurua said there was a need for police officers to remain loyal, dedicated and committed to providing excellent services to the public.

He also said there was an open complaints process in place led by the police commissioner.

“Anyone can call the commissioner or even call me directly,” he said, ading that he could be contacted on 9905111 for those wishing to lodge complaints.
