Competition heats up in West Zone League

THE western sub zone, Nadroga Navosa wrapped up their third rounds of the Secondary Schools Rugby League competition over the weekend.

With the elimination rounds drawing closer the competition is intensifying with team vying for a spot in the knock-out stages.

Over the weekend the Nadroga Navosa sub zone spawned a few interesting results, in the U15 the Sigatoka Methodist College saw off Saraswati Vidya Sabhai School to a 10-8 in a tightly contested affair.

In the U17 St. Therese of Lisieux College dominated Nasikawa Vision College 16-4 boosting their chances of booking a quarter-final spot in the western zone.

In the U19 Ba Methodist High School put on a clinic against Nasikawa Vision College 20-0 to extending their impressive run in the competition.

And in the open grade Sigatoka Methodist College edged St. Therese of Lisieux College 26-10.

Round four of competitions will continue this weekend.
