Kia is becoming one of the most fashionable car brands in the industry setting a trend to win prestigious and renowned design awards every year, GOOD DESIGN being one of them.

Having won the GOOD DESIGN award for its 2016 Sorento and Optima, Kia Motors has once again grabbed two GOOD DESIGN awards for the Telluride Concept and the production Cadenza Sedan in the programs “Transportation” category.

This is the seventh consecutive year in which Kia has received GOOD DESIGN awards organised annually by The Chicago Athenaeum.

Previous Kia winners include the 2014 GT4 Stinger concept car, the Soul EV, and the 2016 Sorento SUV.

Both the first generation and current generation Cadenza premium sedan have now been recognised by the GOOD DESIGN awards. The GOOD DESIGN jury comprises of an independent design professionals, industry specialists and design media who evaluate entrants on a range of criteria that include innovative design, new technologies, form, materials, construction, concept, function, utility, energy efficiency, and sensitivity to the environment. Kia’s Telluride Concept and all-new Cadenza impressed judges in all areas.

This accolade underlines how far we have come and endorses our approach for taking Kia’s design in exciting new directions.”

The GOOD DESIGN awards this year marked its 66th anniversary, making it one of the oldest and most influential design awards programs anywhere in the world. Established in 1950 and organised annually by The Chicago Athenaeum, the GOOD DESIGN awards program celebrates the most innovative and contemporary designs from around 50 nations each year.

The multi award winning Kia range of vehicles are now available from Kia Motors Fiji showrooms, located at the corner of Grantham Rd and Carpenter St, Garden City, Raiwai Suva, and on the Main St in Nadi town.

Kia Motors Fiji Service Centers are located on Carpenter Street in Raiwai Suva, and on the Khan Jan Drive, Wekamu Sub-division in Nadi, opposite the Nadi Temple.
