Fuel deliveries across the country are being closely monitored, with quick action taken whenever service stations begin to run low.
TotalEnergies managing director and chief executive officer Bhavana Samel said the company was maintaining regular communication with fuel station managers to ensure supply remained steady.
“We deliver as per our schedule and we talk to station managers three times a day,” Ms Samel said.
She explained that the company had systems in place to quickly respond if any service station began experiencing low fuel levels.
“As and when we come to know any station is running low, then we immediately activate the delivery to that station.”
Ms Samel noted that temporary shortages at some stations could still occur because of the time it took for fuel to be transported from storage terminals to service stations.
“Of course, it will take time from the time it will fill from our terminal to reach the station, so it could be out of fuel for maybe one hour or couple of hours or so, that could be happening.”
She said the company’s teams were closely monitoring the situation across all stations to ensure deliveries were made as quickly as possible.
“But as of now, we are monitoring all stations very closely.”
