A lawyer with 15 years post admission experience is being sought as the new commissioner of Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).
The Judicial Services Commission (JSC) has advertised the position, stating the commissioner will be subject to section 115(10) of the Constitution of the Republic of Fiji and will have the powers to appoint persons to FICAC, remove persons from FICAC and take disciplinary action against persons of FICAC.
JSC states applicants must be presently admitted as a legal practitioner in Fiji and have 15 years post admission experience and should possess knowledge, skills and experience in a similar field.
They should also possess two to three years of people management or supervisory experience leading teams.
The successful applicant must be willing to work towards ensuring that the FICAC is recognised as an accountable and transparent organisation.
