The Commander Joint Task Force Command (JTFC) Brigadier-General Manoa Gadai launched the first-ever JTFC Command Intent at the Blackrock Camp in Nadi last week.
The Command Intent incorporates the commander’s philosophy, vision, mission, themes, directives, roles and functions.
Speaking during the event, Brig-Gen Gadai emphasised on the need to be highly motivated in achieving the high standards established in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), and to understand the critical role of the JTFC in the institution.
“In order for the RFMF to successfully achieve its mandate mission and constitutional role, the JTFC must effectively execute Joint Task Force operations and training for local, regional, and international humanitarian assistance disaster relief, UN peacekeeping, and SASO deployments,” he said.
“The key to our success is to always put the almighty God first, service before self, initiative, discipline, motivation, teamwork, and to always enforce the RFMF’s high standard.
“I firmly believe that this will be the essence and cornerstone of us striving to achieve our theme which is to effectively and efficiently posture for any contingency.”
He also urged those present at the event to learn from past mistakes and to always ensure the five important pillars of putting God first, adhering to the mission, discipline, obedience and doing good.
The RFMF Chaplain the Major Viliame Tunidau was also present to bless the auspicious event.
